My Reaction:
Every Profession must be filled with great Devotion and
Passion, because without these two, Failure and Disappointments will surely
shower you. I believe that before choosing a Course or University Program in
College, interests must be considered the most. Let’s take Teaching as an
example. Teaching is a very hard profession, because the possibility of you
falling into tricky situations is not avoidable for you are dealing with
students of different ages and races. Now, if you took Teaching as your
profession, considering that this is your Parents’ choice and not yours then
you might be in Trouble, because in Teaching you must possess qualities that
will make your students’ lives easier and not complicated. Moreover, Passion is
the key ingredient in this profession. Without your passion and devotion, it
will be hard for you to avoid and jump
over the rolling stones that will be coming towards you as soon as you stepped
your foot in this profession.
If you really are devoted and passionate in the
Profession of Teaching, then you must remember and consider the qualities of a
good teacher as mentioned above. A good teacher can always steal his students’
attention; a great teacher has clear objectives on what he will be teaching; a
good teacher can promote positive behaviors because he has effective
disciplinary actions. Flexibility must be attained by a Teacher. He should be a
chameleon who is very good with shifting his teaching styles that will jibe on
his students’ different learning styles. A smooth flow of communication with
the parents is very advisable in teaching. In this connection, a good teacher
must have an open communication with the parents of his students for a better
and progressive cognitive development of the learner. A good teacher is good in
encouraging his students to strive for the better. Moreover, effective teaching
includes the Teacher’s knowledge with the on going Curriculum on Education
proposed by the High Inquisitors of Education. A good teacher must be very
knowledgeable on what he is teaching and even saying to his students. He should
know the relevance of the subject matter he is teaching with the bullets that he
is firing from his mouth. A good teacher must be passionate to what he is
teaching. And lastly, a good and effective teacher establishes a healthy
relationship with his students. He must earn his students’ trusts.
There are more qualities that a teacher must attain to be
really good and be really qualified to be called as a Noble Professional
because if you still don’t know Teaching is the only Profession that teaches
all the other Professions. Without teachers there will be no Engineers,
Architects, Nurses, and other Public Servants.
Teachers are public servants, presidents, facilitators, educators and
others. Teacher plays a lot of role in the community. This is why the Teaching
Profession must not be taken for granted. It must be taken wholeheartedly.
Possess all the good qualities of a Teacher and you’ll be successful in this
field.
